What should I do if I am moving?

If you do not notify us of the service change, we will expect payment for our services up to the time you notify us.

What do I do with my old computer, television and other electronics?
By PA state law, electronic waste (E-Waste) can not be disposed of in landfills. E-Waste is any electronic item containing computer boards, such as TV's, desktop and laptop computers, tablets, and peripherals like a keyboard, mouse, printer, remote control, etc. E-Waste requires seprate disposal. Your county web site may provide information on electronic waste disposal sites. More information is available at www.useitagainpa.org.

What do I do with large items such as furniture or construction material?
These are considered bulk items, and there are several options to dispose of these larger materials. The easiest method is calling our customer service department for bulk item pickup. After describing the item to us, our representatives will advise you on the best way to prepare the item and confirm the date that it will be picked up. We will inform you of the charge for pickup of that item and obtain your credit card information for your convenience. Please call at least 24 hours before your regularly scheduled pickup.

If your waste is from a remodeling project that is generating a lot of construction material, a temporary roll-off container may be the most efficient option for you. Call 724-625-1511 or > request service and we'll help you decide.

Can you take a refrigerator or air conditioner?
Yes. However, these are considered bulk items and we must be contacted in order to have these items picked up. Additionally, because these items may have contained Freon, they must be certified that no gas remains in the appliance. A certified technician can do this for you or we can do this for you for an additional charge.

What should I do with leftover paint?
Paint may be included in your waste if it is solidified. You can place sawdust, sand or kitty litter in your paint to dry it out.

Commercial F.A.Q.'s

How can I avoid extra yardage charges?
Unlike our competitors, we understand that occasionally your waste generation may exceed your normal limits. Vogel Disposal Service has trained our drivers to leave your site clean and free of waste regardless of the amount you generate. Our drivers document any extra waste that they encounter at a customer site on their daily route sheets.

Your service charges are based on a maximum amount of yards per week. Any additional yardage, therefore, triggers an extra yardage fee in our billing system. These charges account for the extra fees which Vogel Disposal incurs for landfilling more waste than scheduled as well as the additional time spent at your stop.

It is common for businesses to forget that as they grow, their collection needs may change. If you are generating extra yardage fees, Vogel Disposal Service will be happy to offer you a free waste audit to determine how you may receieve optimum service in the most cost effective manner. Properly sized containers are always easier to budget than continual unexpected charges.

How can I schedule an audit?
If you feel that you would benefit from a free waste audit, please contact our customer service department at 724-625-1511 or use our contact form. Our representatives will be happy to put you in touch with one of our experienced waste consultants to schedule an on-site inspection.
