To keep our team safe and facility in working order, we are unable to accept certain materials for recycling such as chemicals and electronics. These items can be recycled, but they do need to be sent to specialized facilities.If not dealt with properly—like throwing them in the trash instead of recycling—toxic substances contained in these items can leach into the soil and water, harming ecosystems and community health. The availability of recycled materials can also lower the cost of consumer goods and reduce waste and the ecological impact of mining.Hang onto these items until you have an opportunity to recycle them. Helpfully, many counties have programs to help residents recycle these types materials. Butler County recently released the dates for their recycling program.
Butler County is offering drive-thru recycling events throughout the year. These events take place at various locations in the country from 9am to 1pm.\
